Additin® RC 2515

High viscosity, high lubricity, medium active sulfur carrier

Additin® RC 2515 is a light-colored, low odor, medium viscosity extreme pressure additive. Due to its excellent lubricity and medium activity with an active sulfur content of approx. 4%, it is particularly suited for manufacturing metalworking fluids for medium to heavy duty stamping, fine blanking and metal forming processes. The low copper corrosion makes it also suitable for machining yellow metal alloys. It is also highly recommended for the formulation of EP greases, slideway oils and industrial gear oils.

The performance of metalworking fluids containing Additin® RC 2515 can even be increased by combinations with sulfurized olefins like Additin® RC 2540, zinc dithiophosphates, e.g. Additin® RC 3038, phosphoric acid partial esters or ashless phosphorus-sulfur additives like Additin® RC 3890.

Additin® RC 2515 meets the requirements of the LuSC (“Lubricant Substance Classification”) list and is therefore suitable for the formulation of lubricants that can be awarded with the EU Ecolabel. It is labelled with the Scopeblue brand for consisting of more than 50 percent of natural, regionally sourced renewable raw materials.
